Young Inventor Workshop
Build It. Test It. Invent the Future.
A real engineering workshop for growing makers. Using gears, pulleys, wheels, a mini motor and battery pack, children build a working rubber-band car, a Scribble-Bot and their own inventions from blueprint cards. The Challenge Book introduces simple machines, circuits and design thinking, then sets open-ended challenges with no single right answer, only better ideas.

Inside the box
- Gears, pulleys & axles
- Wheels & chassis plates
- Mini motor & battery pack
- Wires, clips & LEDs
- Wooden blocks & craft sticks
- Screwdriver, wrench & bolts
- Blueprint sheets
- Challenge Book & invention cards
What children will do
- Build a rubber-band powered car and race it
- Wire a motor to make a Scribble-Bot draw
- Light an LED with a simple circuit
- Design a gear train that changes speed
- Solve open-ended invention challenges
Learning outcomes
- Explains how gears, levers and wheels make work easier
- Builds a complete working circuit
- Uses plan, build, test, improve on 3+ challenges
- Reads a simple blueprint to assemble a model
Skills developed
Key educational outcome
Applies engineering thinking: designing, testing and improving solutions to real problems.
Why children love it
Things move, spin, light up and race, and they built every one of them.
For parents
Builds resilience through trial and error, introduces real engineering ahead of school, and rewards persistence with something that actually works.
